Update iPhone 2G from 3.0 OS to 3.1.2

Hi-

My original iPhone 2G (4GB) is currently unlocked and jailbroken (running on Tmobile) but I need to upgrade to the latest firmware, which I'm told is 3.1.2.

I've been looking over the guides but cannot figure out which to follow. Should I use redsnOw, blackra1n, or something else. I think there is some sort of issue with the baseband that people upgrading the iPhone 2G need to be careful of.

Any help pointing me to the right guide would be greatly appreciated. thks.

If you're on Windows do a search for blackra!n and then follow that guide.

be careful when using blackra1n becase it is extrememly buggy if ur running on vista but if ur runnin on xp it should be fine.

yea this isnt working for me on vista...i'm going to have to downgrade & go back to 3.0
