3GS Unlocking Question

I have an iPhone 3GS running on OS 3.1.2 and the latest baseband.

My phone is already unlocked, but out of curiosity, I tried running Blacksn0w again using the Blackra1n app.

This is the error it gave me after running it:

Did that error appear because I already have Blacksn0w installed? Or is it some kind of HTTP error (the Blackra1n homepage is blocked in my country)?

If it's the latter, is there another app I can use to unlock my iPhone (Ultrasn0w etc..) if I want to restore it from scratch?

I'm not sure what the problem is. If youve already gotten Blacksn0w installed, why do you need it again?

In any case Ultrasn0w is used for BB 4.25.xx. BB 5.11.07 uses Blacksn0w and if you want to restore I'm sure Blacksn0w will reinstall just fine.

You can also access Blacksn0w through Cydia if you wanna test that out to see if you get the same error.

To answer your question Anniex423, I just wanted to make sure that Blacksn0w will install properly in case I needed to do a restore.

And yes, I've tried Cydia, but when I add the Blackra1n repository, it tells me that there is no such repo available.

Is there any other repo that hosts Blacksn0w?

Sorry but under the circumstances I didn't post those repos up for cracked apps or warez. Blacksn0w is a legitimately free service and those repos host them. Unfortunately being on my iPhone I can't edit my previous post. If you truly feel so strongly about it I'll remove it later.
