need help... 2g 4gb unlock problems

I have a 2g 4gb a1203 ATT going to T Mobile sim ,used ziphone did the whole process and got to sim card (t mobile)unsupported . redid the restore as posted in this sight and it showed a error 0xe8000001 pressed ok and it showed the restore button ..so i pressed it..restored but phone showed- usb connect to itune screen and computer said sim card unsupported again!! i updated to 3.0 firmware pleeeaase help.....

ZiPhone hasn't been updated to be of any use with OS 3.x.x. Try one of the "sn0ws"... which one depends on which OS you finally upgrade to - and 3.1.2 will work for you!

just got this phone used.. don't know what sn0ws are and i don't know what os i have. sorry not very tech savy

connect to itunes and either restore or upgrade.
then go to blackweather and download blackra1n.
then open it and click make it ra1n. then on ur springboard install cydia. then in cydia install bootnueter. and then flash ur baseband

hes gonna try to run the program without it being in restore mode .. I did the same thing. And how the f is he still getting os 3.0 from itunes ... dont they just go ahead and make it so you can automatically get the new firmware. Also why did they tell me to never dl new firmware when I was jailbreaking my 2g. I was told that updating the firmware would lock it up

You were rightly told not to update it until a new way of jailbreaking/unlocking had been brought out (which it has been now for months for 3.1.2). He also states he's not sure what OS he's on as not very tech savvy (yes, he's probably already on 3.1.2).

But either way, this will help him out as he's got a 2G (which is both J/B'able & U/L'able regardless).
