Data Plan Question

I jailbroke and unlocked my used 3G without problems,thanks to all the help on this Forum. I then put my simm card from my
KRAZR in the 3G, I downloaded from Cydia Boss Prefs and selected options to completely turn off EDGE and 3G data transmission. I used my WiFi connection to download a few apps from the Appstore. Is been three days and I just happen to check my wireless account and it shows my number as using an iPhone 3G. will I be charge for the $30 Data Plan,or is this normal?.

You will be getting a iPhone data plan tacked onto your account at some point. They can tell what phone you are using by the IMEI. It does not matter if you turn the data off or not, they can see it when you make a call on the network. The at some point varies, most likely you will first get a text telling you they will add the data plan. If you have an iPhone they make you have the iPhone data pacakge.
