Unlocked Iphone 3g receiving late texts/call issues

I have recently purchased a already unlocked iphone 3g running on 3.0. The problem is I receive text messages about 15minutes late, and when others try to call my phone, it doesn't ring, In addition, when I call others, their phone doesnt ring. I went to tmobile and got a new sim card, but the problem still remains. Has anyone encountered this issues, and is their a way to fix this?

Try jailbreaking to 3.1.2 and install ultrasn0w.

You can use blackra1n to jailbreak it. Then use a snow to unlock.
