Default Blackrain says 'no internet connection' - can't get to blacksnow!

I'm using a 3G model that has never been unlocked/jailbroken. I used blackrain to jailbreak but when I open blackrain it says no internet connection, so I can't get to blacksnow to unlock. I'm on the T-mobile network.

What can I do to unlock at this point?

Well, like it says....you have to have an internet connection so it can download the proper files.

So either you will need an ATT simcard with a data plan, or WIFI.

I guess I was over thinking. I used my home router to connect which allowed me to access blacksnow, now I'm unlocked. Thanks

You have to have a WIFI connection... ie.. an internet connection.

I have an internet router in my home which allows 5 or so devices to connect to the internet wirelessly. I went to 'settings/wifi' on the iphone & turned wifi on. I then chose my network from the list, entered my password & had a internet connection. If you don't have access to a router, look in the list & connect to one that is not password locked, that would give you a connection so you can access blacksnow. The other option would be to use someones ATT sim or go to a local Starbucks or Mcdonalds etc. where you can get a wifi connection.

I know but, how do you get internet connection if you haven't unlocked your phone yet? I have my tmobile sim card in but it says "no service" at the top.

OMG. You are getting the internet connection from the WIFI router... not your cell phone service provider.

Didn't work. Do I keep the att sim card in before I do this then but the tmobile sim card after? Because It went into loading status on blackrain and then went back to check your internet connection.

I had my T-mobile sim in when I connected to wifi, not sure if it matters though. Are you sure you have a wifi connection? There shaould be an icon to the left of 'T-mobile' at the top of your screen.

I did what you guys said but I left the old AT&T sim card in instead of the T-mobile, then I went to Coffee Bean and connected to the wi-fi but I had to punch in the store wifi code. So I had to actually go in the store and get it. After that I was able to get Blacksnow and Cydia. I hit Blacksnow, it loaded and installed. Then I put in the T-mobile sim card and POW! It said phone is activated

    Default Similar Problem

Hi I used black rain and it worked perfectly, I want to install Cydia but get " please check your internet connection" message. The WIFI is working perfectly, I can for instance access google or update the weather, but when I tap the blackrain Icon I get the message above. Its a 2g phone 3.12? Any ideas?
