Ok so the whole thing sounds pretty stupid and I admit it is. I put a password on my phone unlocked 3g iphone and then immediately forgot it. So I decided to rejailbreak my phone. I changed the firmware to 3.1.2 via the itunes. I used redsn0w 0.8 and then wound up using iphone1,2_3.0_7A341_Restore.ipsw because redsn0w wouldnt recognize the 3.1.2 one and I was frustrated so I said **** it and did it anyways cause it was already in restore mode. So the program ran and it went right back into restore mode. I did it again same program. How badly did I mess this all up and more importantly is this fixable ? Would really like to have my phone back. Thanks in advance.
ok it says here in geohot that if I've already uploaded the firmware 3.1.2 then it'll upgrade my baseband which'll make it impossible to unlock. I dont even know which firmware I currently have.
Well you guys werent kidding it totally worked. Got me right outta restore mode. You guys rock the freaking world. Totally gonna donate to blackra1n. However I still cant get into my phone cause it still wants the goddamn passcode !!!
SSH and use DiskAid or WinSCP iFunbox or any SSH client and delete the file /Library/Keychains/keychain-2.db and reboot.
It will delete ALL stored passwords including email, wifi, lockscreen, etc
so far not locked out I dont think. Trying to use this diskaid .. not sure if I'm doin it right. However I did notice that my service provider is no longer listed in the top right corner.
Hmm yeah so the ifunbox seems to be the easiest to use as so far. Dont know how to do what you had earlier said blkcadi but I'm working on it. Also my woman just called my phone and it went straight to voicemail
Hmm yeah so one thing I just noticed is that in ifunbox its labels my phone as jailed. I dont know what any of this stuff means but I gotta log off. I hope you guys can help me. mahalo.

you navigate to root directory/Library/Keychains/keychain-2.db
remove file in red.
You may want to put the phone in DFU mode, restore (and set up as a new phone) then re-jailbreak. It may remove the pass lock.
Ok so I dunno what I did or what I should do. All I know is I thought I rejailbroke the ***** and now the passcode is still on my phone and I dont have service anymore either.
After the phone is in DFU mode you will be able to do a restore. When it is done you will not have a password on your phone and it will be blank. I recommend you DO NOT RESTORE FROM BACKUP as this will replace your password.
After you have the phone working normally just run Blackra1n and you should be set.

ok restoring right now. after done i just wont let it keep any of the old stuff. unfortunately i'll lose all of my media fortunately I'll have my phone back. amidoinitrite ?
Ok worked like a charm. However now that I put my sim bac in I get nothing for a provider. I'm guessing that I run the blackra1n on my phone ?
