have blacksn0w need apple service - advice please?

I had tethering on my iphone 3gs on v3.0 without jailbreaking bust lost it on upgrading. I then used blacksn0w method of jailbreaking to re-tether. I now need to return my iphone to apple store as it has screen bleed. How do I fully remove anything that will invalidate my warranty please. Thanks.

Connect to iTunes and restore. That will put it back to factory state.
