    Default Want to Brick

Hi everyone. My situation may be unique, and I am not sure if I am on the right forum, but basically my goal is to purposely brick my Iphone 3G.

You see, I'm an American guy in Japan, and I wanted to upgrade my Iphone 3G to a 3GS, but because I am round eyed and not Japanese, they won't sell me a 3GS the same way the would to an Asian person. They want me to pay an obscene amount of money upfront (to the tune of $850 or so), so I want to brick my 3G purposely, so that I can bring it to the shop to exchange it for a new one, and since I think all they have left are 3GS phones, bricking it should work to get me a 3GS.

Any advice on the best most undetectable way to brick my phone?

Well first of all, we will not support anyone trying to rip off or take advantage of someone, it is not what this forum is about.
Second, if you had to take you phone to be replaced, you would receive exactly what you have. 3G phones are still made and sold every where, so you would get back exactly what you turn in, nothing more or nothing less. They will not by any means allow you to upgrade without paying.
