    Default iphone 1g to 3.1.2

I'm new to unlocking from you experts out there. I have an AT&T unlocked 1g iphone purchased on ebay already unlocked. The current OS is 2.1 and the phone works on the Canada Rogers network. For some reason, I've lost the ability to download apps so I would love if this can be fixed.

Can anyone explain a step by step method for "dummies" or point me to a URL that does the above? I'm concerned I will kill my phone or lose contacts, etc...

Thanks for any assistance in advance.

    Its really simple for you...

simply plug in your iphone, and while in iTunes, right click the phone and click back up.

Once your phone is backed up, you can begin "experimenting"

basically all you have to do from here is just hit restore in Itunes, it will restore your phone to 3.1.2.

Then you simply just run blackra1n (from blackra1n.com) and it will hactivate the phone for you.

    And your done...

Also they say its best to setup the phone as a new phone, rather than restoring from backup. So setup the phone as a new phone, but just give it the same name as it used to have. It will copy all your old contacts and such.

    and your done. pretty simple.

I know since i've done this a million times i wasn't 100% clear, so if you want to follow a proper guide, heres one
Jailbreak Unlock iPhone 2G 3.1.2 With Blackra1n Windows Mac | iPhone

And remember your phone is already unlocked, you shouldn't have to mess with bootneuter
The only thing I ask in return for helping, is that you click the thanks button, Thanks!
