problems with iphone 3g using pwnage 3.0.

im trying to unlock/hack to firmware to 3.0, i always get an error. i have a 2g 16gig iphone which works fine, but when i try to unlock/hack this 3g 8gig for some reason i get errors. could it be since my itunes isnt updated to the latest or am i using pwnage wrong. hopefully someone can help

Why don't you upgrade to 3.1.2, install and use blackra1n and blacksn0w to unlock?

same thing happens to me sometimes. 1600 is a communications error. You can try loading the custom ipsw in restore mode, and not dfu, sometimes it works.

But if your lucky and still on the 04.26.08 baseband, DO NOT upgrade to 3.1.2, blacksn0w sucks compared to ultrasn0w, your gonna want to use ultrasn0w if you still can.

I'd recommend scratching the whole pwnage tools thing, and just use redsn0w
The only thing I ask in return for helping, is that you click the thanks button, Thanks!
