For all those poor souls out there using a prepaid iPhone with no data, prove all those people wrong that told you data is not available and enjoy the full benefits of your iPhone.
Connect your iPhone via wifi, and visit Unlockit - APN Changer for your iPhone on your iPhone's Safari browser. Download the app, run it, click Custom APN, now simply choose your carrier and country (EXAMPLE: US - AT&T), click Create Profile, and Install.
Congratulations, you now have data access on your iPhone. Better yet, 3G data where available. Make sure you add at least a 100MB data plan to your GoPhone, and enjoy mobile data access.
WARNING: Try and restrict your data usage to simple web browsing and applications that use small amounts of data or else you will burn up your data plan in a matter of days. Downloading anything is a bad idea, and iTunes App Store will advise you of the data usage.
I have had data access for 5 days so far, and have only used a total of 1.2MB
this worked for me for a month or 2 im on iphone 3gs jailbroken/unlocked i have the 100mb data plan and i have 10$ currently on my account all of a sudden my data network isnt working now but i can still text/call and even send picture messages i tried unlockit.co.nz again doesnt work im on AT&T US
and wap.cingular profile its creating isnt working for me anymore. ive tried restore re jailbreaking re unlocking and going to unlockit.co.nz and making another profile any advice?
nvm i found out i have $4 remaining balance on my prepiad iphone 3g and as i was reading my contract i saw i could not acsess data networks with a balance below $5 i though i had near $10 balance.
