Iphone 3g 16GB No Service

Ive tried everything from 3.1.2 with blacksn0w to downgrading the baseband from 5.11.7 to 4.26 and using ultrasn0w(the phone has bootrom 05.08). I've been trying for the last three days to unlock this phone. Does anyone have any suggestions for unlocking to use on t-mobile? sometimes it works for a few minutes and then shows a notification saying "Network Lost"

Yeah i tried that already. Ive tried every combination of Geohotz and Dev-team's tools.

then go to settings general reset and reset network setrings.
And make sure that 3g is off

Make sure the carrier is on Automatic. Reset your network settings too.

Alright i just restored my phone through itunes with the official 3.1.2 firmware. Then i used Blackra1n to jailbreak. Installed Sn0w and then Cydia. Reset Network. and it still does not work. it is on 05.11.07 baseband

Do you even have native T-Mobile coverage in your area? Where do you live? Has T-Mobile worked on other phones in this exact location?

Yeah my friend has a 16gb iphone too and it works just fine in my apartment. My blackberry also works here too. and ive tried using my simcard in my friends phone. it works.

Hmm.. this is puzzling. Considering it's got one of the first bootroms I'm thinking it's out of warranty right? That's all I can think of really, your iPhone must be broken. Have you tried AT&T as well?

I'm not sure. I just bought it from my roommate's friend. I haven't gotten a chance to test it out with an at&t sim card yet.

NO SERVICE – if all software method failed.. open you iphone 3g.. find the copper pin from logic board to the body on the lower part. I solder the pin to the body frame. Whola.. solve the problem
