Before I throw my phone against a wall

I am trying like crazy to jailbreak my 3G iphone. I can not for the life of me get the neo screen to show up when using blackra1n

I've tried every fix I could find on here, and youtube. What am I doing wrong

I have restored my phone to 3.1.2 FW 5.11.07 BB

Then i plug it in, run blackra1n and it will not leave restore mode and iTunes starts up even after I uncheck everything that has to do with the iPhone sync.

I have tried unplugging the phone plugging it back in and rebooting

I've tried holding power/home then releasing power holding home

nothing...I am getting really aggravated does anyone have a trick? or a suggestion? anything?

First off restore your iPhone completely with the original firmware. Then setup as new phone. And in the NORMAL state that is when you can use your iphone, Aka on the homescreen, try running blackra1n on a different computer. And see if that works. If it still doesn't work let me ask you this. When did you get your iPhone?

I did a restore to where the phone was cleared out and ready to use on factory firmware (except I'm on tmobile so it could not be used)

I purchased my phone about 6 months ago give or take...is there a way to see the production date?

it's a regular 16 GB 3G (not 3GS)

oh yes and it was previously unlocked on 3.0 untill yesterday throw redsn0w

Did you use the most recent version of Blackra1n?
In the latest version this problem is supposedly fixed

It did work for me..... I got this problem also with the old Blackra1n version but not anymore!

Well, I went to blackra1n.com and downloaded it about a half hour ago so I am assuming it is the latest version?

Are you leaving iTunes open when you're trying to jb?

Try finding a custom firmware to download and DFU restore using that instead.

i dont mean to rewrite exactly wat u said Poseidon79 but heres more detail

google 3.1.2 3g custom firmware.. there all over
download the program off of ih8sn0w.com

run that program then follow the steps.. works like a charm, i could never get blackra1n to work either

ih8sn0w.com only had windows version, I am on a Mac any other sites that would have the custom FW? I don't want to download some random FW and with my luck brick my phone

I will take anyway to get my phone to work at this point I have been without a phone all day....any help would be appreciated

Use pwnage to jailbreak. It's mac only

pwnage won't JB it I am now on 5.11.07 because I upgraded like blackra1n directed me to do

i couldn't do it on a mac, it would just sit there. would see an apple logo then it'd go back to normal or something. then i tried it on a windows computer and everything worked like it was supposed to. i think i read something about the usb ports playing a part, but don't quote me on that. if you can just try it on a diff mac, and if you can a PC

Did it on windows with no problems Phone is up and running again, pretty ironic it doesn't work right on a mac...
