IPhone 3GS IMEI Unknown, ICCID Unknown, No Wifi, No Service

Hello All

I have iphone 3gs 16 GB with firmware 3.1 out of the box.

I upgraded to official 3.1.2 firmware, then i did jailbreak using geohot blackra1n tool, and followed by unlock using blacksn0w from the phone itself.

when my iphone battery vanished, my iphone refused to start up when recharging. and refuse to restore to apple official firmware v 3.1.2 giving me error (1013).

i ran the blackra1n windows exe file again, and my iphone opeend successfully but with the following problems:

No Service
No Wifi
when i checked the "about" i found that the following information are "unknown"

IMEI
ICCID
Modem Firmware

have you tried Resetting network/Toggelling Airplane more for Wifi issues
and once you have wifi try running blacksn0w for carrier break
Or try doing it offline if you are not able to get wifi

Last one - Do a fresh restore by taking fresh ipsw file for 3.1.2

I already tried all of this but didn't worked. I read something about new iBoot for 3.1 os that cause jailbreak to fail. Any advises ?

do yo have new iBoot in your 3GS if yes may be that is the reason

Iphone 3G no service fix

1. happen to 'no service' after change LCD/Bat/ parts
2. when no 3G coverage no service happen.
3. toggle off 3G no service happen
4. try software method... 1st suspect 3.1 firmware is the culprit.. try many tools and method
5. mine is factory unlocked version buy from hongkong, running 3.1.2
6. Try to change sim card.. to another phone.. seem okay..
7. put diffrenet sim card in the iphone.. same problem
8. if all software method failed.. open you iphone 3g.. find the copper pin from logic board to the body on the lower part. I solder the pin to the body frame. Whola.. solve the problem

Been trying for over a week to sort after i stupidly installed Ping on JB 2nd Gen phone. I believe it works for 3G phones also

In desperation tried a suggestion that i had seen - It worked!

Turn off phone. Stick in freezer for 15 mins. Turn on - Wi-Fi should work. Can then D'load Cydia or Rock or Icy - whichever you want to if you haven't been able to before. Then D'Load BossPrefs (I had to keep going back to freezer after WiFi started dropping!!) Once BossPrefs installed. Go to Edge, swkitch off along with Wi-Fi here and also under Settings, WiFi. Turn off.
Back into Freezer and leave for 20 mins. Turn on. Go to Boss Prefs switch on WiFi ONLY. (Do Not switch Edge on) Then Settings, WiFi - switch on. Voila. WiFi should be back.. No Edge but hey something is better than nothing for now. Wi-fi is slightly weaker than normal and if you you use it a lot then signal fluctuates but turn off, leave a few and all ok again

I also faced the same problem regarding "No Service" and missing IMEI/ICCID/WiFi/Bluetooth when on FW 3.1.3 (Iphone 3GS jailbroken via Sn0wbreeze). I successfully downgraded the phone to FW 3.1.2 (without any errors particularly 1015) hoping that it would fix the problem, but once the phone was restored to FW 3.1.2 and rebooted it again went into recovery mode displaying IMEI and ICCID unknown.

With this I cannot activate, jailbreak and unlock my Iphone. Is there a fix for this?

im on the same boat n it really sucks. ibeen waitin for a fix or a 4.0 free download n see if it would fix. i have a mint 3g un useable>>> smh
