Default Upgrading 2g jailbroke/unlocked from 3.0 to 3.1.2 on Windows

What is the proper method for this? I've been searching the forums, and it seems like there is no definite answer.

I know I can download blackrain to unlock and then download bootneuter apparently, but from what I read, I would have to use bootneuter everytime I reboot the phone?

Does anyone have a a working step-by-step that they've actually done?

Also, I found this method, has anyone tried it?

im pretty sure all you have to do is complete update to 3.1.2, use blackrain, install cydia, and install bootneuter.

    try this site How to Unlock iPhone 2G OS 3.1.2 and Jailbreak iPhone 2G 3.1.2 with BlackRa1n RC3 | BlackRa1n | iPhoneHeat

I was actually able to do it using the link I posted, just make sure you run aptbackup before to keep your cydia apps. No need for bootneuter.

yeah 2g's are hardware unlocked... once unlocked you never need to run bootneuter again
The only thing I ask in return for helping, is that you click the thanks button, Thanks!
