I just bought an iPhone off my friend, it's a 3G and I'm guessing it was using an older firmware than 3.0.2. It was already jailbroken and I'm guessing unlocked, since I could call and text at the time, but then I went home and connected it to my computer to sync my music/movies to it. I didn't know that updating to 3.0.2 would disable the unlock/jailbreak, so I updated. Now my SIM card isn't valid, apparently. I get the 'SIM card not supported' message in iTunes, but I know how to bypass that. In the top left of the iPhone it says 'Invalid SIM card' or something like that. I was just wondering if I unlock it, will that fix the problem and let me use my SIM card?
