2g Unlock Help

Is there a simple guide that is 2g specific? I've found a few online, but they wind up referring to a 3g, and arent real clear.

I have a 2g running 3.0, firmware is 04.05.04_G.

I'm on Windows.

I want to jailbreak AND unlock so that I can keep it on tmobile.

I have, and a lot of the answers flip flop, which is why I was looking for a more straight up sort of answer, in regards to my firmware and all.
