    Default pdanet wifi

I followed the procedure to setup wifi with the pdanet app,but when I set up my laptop for a adhoc connection,it request a network key, which I thought you could type in anything easy to remember, I get a window that says ( The network password needs to be 40bits or 104bits depending on your network configuration. This can be entered as 5 or 13 ascii characters or 10 or 26 hexadecimal characters.) Can anyone tell me what this means. Thanks.

This means that your password must be either 5 characters or 13 characters. One of those two. So, something like:

    password12345

    or

    mypass

    and so on.
