Fix 3.1.2 wifi problem [ My Solution]

Yesterday i used blackra1n to jailbreak my iphone 3gs 3.1.2 and installed cydia and rock, and used blacksn0w to unlock using cydia. After i jailbroke and ulocked my iphone the wifi stopped working , remind it was working fine when i jailbroke it an right after i installed cydia an rock it stopped so i did some research and read something about rock that it has a bug or something, so i went and uninstalled the rock app from cydia and woila everything is back to normal , wifi is working beautifully.

Hope this helps because i know thats its really annoying that wifi doesnt work.

lol It has nothing to do wtih ROck app...Nobody uses it compared to cydia. So even without rock there are issues with the wifi...Why don't you restart and see if the wifi works or not.

Knock on wood, I haven't had any issues since I upgraded/JB'd/UL'd on Friday. My WiFi has survived multiple reboots and it hasn't ever disappeared on me. Also, if I go out of coverage (my office doesnt get good signal), my 3G signal recovers fine.

I did install Rock and Blacksn0w, but not from the Blackra1n app. I only installed Cydia from Blackra1n. Then I installed the other 2 from Cydia.

hi i was in europe nov 6 so i upgraded to 3.1.2 using blacksnow and blackra1n it worked very great till i got to washington dc wifi stoped working tryed everything to fix it reboot reset network rerstore everything now that i have it in restore i cant get onto the net at all bc iam using tmobile and cant use the unlock software without the edge or wifi can someone help me what to do thank you

you need to unlock it, if on windows you can use blackrain and then load blacksnow manually (there are links online to help with this). you can also use pwnagetool to jailbreak and then you can manually load blacksnow to unlock.

if none of that makes sense then you need to do more research.

i did use the unlock and blackrain and blacksnow and pwagetool in europa but rite when i got to washington dc it stoped working it is working for tmobile but no wifi

Bahh I was really hoping for a solution...but I guess not. The rockapp does not affect the wifi connecting issues. Oh well..good thing I only need unlock when I travel abroad.

my wifi was not working after jailbreaking my iphone when i updated it to 3.1.2. I downloaded black wood theme and glasklart theme from cydia and now my wifi is working i dont know why but it does i have black wood theme on..

I was jailbreak my iphone 3g with 3.1.2 fw recently.. But soon after it has no wifi connection..what should i do then? Try to redo the jailbreak process or what?
