Can't Send/Receive SMS

I have an iPhone 2g. I just updated to 3.1.2 using itunes, then jailbroke it using blackra1n. Then I installed custom firmware file built from pwnage tool to unlock the phone.

I can make phone calls and evyerthing, but I can't send/receive SMS. When I write an SMS then tap on "Send" it just closes the whole application and goes back to the home screen.

Help, why is this happening?

Never mind, I fixed the problem. I couldn't send/receive SMS is because when I restored my sms.db backup file, I didn't change the permission to 0777.

Ignore this post. I fixed the problem. It occured because when I restored my backed up sms.db file, I didn't change the permission to 0777.
