Stuck on Recovery mode loop !! please help

I have an iPhone 3GS 16GB
I installed software 3.1.2 on it ,and i'm stuck on recovery mode loop (

is there a way to get out of it (

i assume you are trying to unlock/jailbreak your phone?

If using blackra1n.. It is a little touchy in my experience, just keep rebooting it and putting it in DFU mode while blackra1n is running... it took me quite a few tries but it finally went through..

can you please explain it in better way because ,when i use blackra1n RC3 i get on pc message popup and on iphone the geohot's photo freezed

if you can see his image, thats usually the sign that its worked.. other just waiting for the phone to respond, check the log file for any errors.. the log is generated in the same folder blackra1n.exe is...

But what i meant was if it doesnt work, try it again.. It took me 3 days to get RC2 to work. but once i saw Geohot's face, it worked..

i see you've tried this a few times.. lol.. I dont see anything that jumps out at me.. except for the "ERROR: usb send file failed 1" which was the error i was getting during failed attempts.. but that was way down in the log so i assume a previous attempt..

has it hung up on you more then once? if not, try again..

If so, i am stumped.. you may have to wait for someone a bit more knowledgeable then myself.

I'm having that same issue, can't get the thing out of recovery mode at all. I can get it in DFU mode, but it takes some work. Iphone doesn't have slider bar so I can turn it off conventionally. Any reason why the phone does that? I know the phone got some water in it, it's a friends daughter and she went swimming with it, long story. but it dried out, and seems to be working correctly to some point.

Anyway,

can someone help me here?

hi guys. im currently using iphone 2g 3.1 firmware. im stuck with this recovery mode loop and been trying several solution but not works for me it keeps on saying device not recognize or iphone not found. tried using vista, xp and mac but sad to say nothing works. tried to plus other iphone but all vista, xp and mac recognize it so i guess the problem is my iphone. guys please help me. thank you for your help and your time.

1. In Recovery Mode Screen (it shows a cable and a CD looking iTunes icon), press and hold power + home for about 10 seconds, this will shut the screen down. Let go of buttons!
2. With the screen dark, press and hold power+home buttons again. This time, the Apple logo will light up for about 8 seconds then again it will be powered down. (I noticed this round of power down, it seems to be a little different with the way the screen shuts off, hard to explain). Let go of buttons!
3. Once again, press and hold power+home buttons (only this time, you'll mimic the entering DFU mode like pattern) by counting to about 8 seconds then release the power button. Keep holding down the home button until about 20 seconds then let go. During this time, the Apple logo should reappear but don't get distracted, keep up with the counting. By the time you let go all buttons 20 seconds later, the Apple logo should stay lit and it will boot into regular mode shortly after.

5. Run blackra1n dispite recovery mode....just tested so far 1 for 1 good luck
