For those who hactivated using Blacksnow...
Quick Q if you don't mind...
Does PUSH work for you now?
So far i haven't seen anyone posting if it's working either way or not...
I'm asking specifically about 3G by the way.
Thanks!

Can someone 100% confirm or deny weather push works after hacktivation. I have a legitimate working o2 contract sim card which i have activated other iphones with in the last 24 hours but when i try and activate a 3gs white i have, itunes says it is an unsupported sim.
Is there a limit to the amout of phones you can activate with one o2 sim card?

I you read my post above it will tell you that PUSH is working fine.
With regards to how many iPhones you can activate using one sim I don't have a clue :P

I did read your post above, but i took it as jus two out of millions of iphones were working on push when hacktivated. Seems nothing is certain when it comes to jailbreak and unlocked iphones. Take the wifi for instance, iv jailbroke and unlocked a old 3g and a brand new 3gs in the last hour and both work fine with wifi. Other people can get their wifi to wrk or have to reset things. I just wanted confirmation.

i found the problem tho. Im in the uk and the person whos iphone it is got it from canada. he forgot to tell me that the original rogers sim was in the box. I had to find it myself. Seems you can activate a canadian iphone with a uk sim in the uk.

Thanks for the responses and updates!
After all the reading about the recent WiFi losses, i'm a bit nervous about upgrading now...
I've been battling with the activation/PUSH problem since coming to Japan with my AT&T iphone, so i'm still hoping for a few more non-North America users to say yay or nay on their PUSH working with the Blackrain hactivation...
In anycase, thanks again for keeping my thread alive!

Why don't you just do it? You can't make it worse. Clean your iphone, activate it using your original sim and itunes (otherwise you wont get push), then blackra1n it, then blacksn0w it and you should be done!
With regards to push I can confirm that it will only work if you activate your iphone with original sim card using itunes straight after you recovered it. Yesterday I had to recover mine due to signal looses occasionally and push option was missing and it came back up after I installed im+/palringo etc.
Like geohot said, clean install is recommended.

Thank you for your advice zYxMa, but something you might have missed in my last post, is that i'm in Japan and i cannot activate my iPhone with my AT&T sim because there is no way to get a signal with that sim. (My last upgrade to FW 3.0 confirmed this to be true.)
I'm simply out of new ideas and am looking for a new way to try and get it to work. ALL my other iPhone features work perfectly, and i have no problems with installation, rebuilding, rebooting, jailbreaking, xxxsnow-ing, hactivating, etc. I simply cannot seem to get PUSH to work!
I am perhaps in a more unique position than others, so any/all advice is welcome!
Here's the details on what i'm looking at:
- AT&T purchased iPhone 3G from the U.S.
- Originally FW 2.X, jailbroken and yellowsnowed successfully (Baseband still at 2.28.00)
- Taken to Japan and successfully working on Japan's DoCoMo and Softbank carrier signals
- Upgraded FW to 3.0, jailbroken and ultrasnowed successfully
(No signal possible with AT&T sim (of course), so no way to 'officially' activate)
- Still working on Japan's DoCoMo and Softbank carrier signals
- Several/All posted methods of Restoring/Activating/Hacktivating etc to get PUSH working attempted including:
-- Restoring fresh 3.0 FW with original AT&T sim (but again, no signal possible with that here in Japan)
-- Standard jailbreaking and then trying to get iTunes to activate with the AT&T sim /without the sim /with my DoCoMo sim, etc, etc.
-- All possible combinations of AT&T sim and DoCoMo sim with/without jailbreaking/hactivation
-- PushFix application from Cydia
-- Several variations of the replacement of *.bin files in my /Private/var/Keychains directories
Please and thanks for any advice!

I think I made a slight mistake with regards to push.. I flashed my friends 3gs without any simcard in it and there was no push setting until I installed something like im+, palringo etc.. after that push settings appeared in main settings window as a fourth position.
I was getting worried, because straight after I hactivated it using blackra1n R3 push were missing.
I think you should just try to do it. blackra1n it, blacksn0w it and install something like palringo lite (free) and you should see push settings.

Yes, I have a SoftBank 3GS 32Gb and I never saw the Push settings screen until I installed an application that required push, star walk. I installed palringo out of curiousity and it installs in notifications sub menu as well, under general settings. I am JB on 3.1.2 and hactivated and unlocked with blacksnow. As an aside, do you get full 3G data services? What kind of plan do you use?

I got mine 3gs from 02 uk last week and I was given o2 sim card with 12 month free internet browsing, but I don't really use it as my main number is from t-mobile with web'n'walk option, so yes I have full 3g package unlimited (well, the limit is couple of GBs/month or something, but enough for me)
