Might be a stupid question, but does your phone have to be on 3.1.2. My phones on 3.0 and jailbroken cause I was able to downgrade to 3.0 cause of the ecid file or whatever after I upgraded to 3.1, but my baseband is 05.11.... You know the rest. So can I just install blacksnow from cydia or do I have to upgrade to 3.1.2?

i guess it is recommended to upgrade to at least 3.1-3.1.2.

So i installed the blackra1n app on cydia, my service bar went out and went back on, what does that mean? it means it's unlocked already? how can you tell if it's unlocked?

Find a friend with a tmobile or any sim other then at&t and pop it in. If you get service your unlocked.

yeah i downloaded from the blackra1n repo, it doesn't show any options or anything. i can't tell until i put someones tmobile card or something?

With a prepaid sim card, with an unlock will it use the prepaid chip the way it is suppose to. Cause I have one in my iphone now and I have the $20 100 mb data plan, but it goes through mb's really fast when using 3g. On my lg xenon it takes forever to run through the data plan, just wanna know if I unlock will it change this?
