ZiPhone v. 3.0 can't find iphone

Well, just today I got my iPhone locked. i've tried tons of ways to try and get it unlocked (winpwn, redsn0w, quickpwn) and the one that i'm trying right now is ZiPhone v3.0. Looked it up and youtube and it worked for everyone else, but, when i try it, it ends up saying "unable to pair with device." It's weird because, iTunes detects it, and i did everything it recommended me to do (put it in recovery mode, close itunes, etc...) Tried several times but it still hasn't worked. Sorry if i sound nooby but i've been trying to unlock my phone this entire day and nothing works . . . Any help will be greatly appreciated >___<"

Ziphone is old and buggy.. you don't want to use that.
What phone? what firmware is it on? Do you want to unlock or just jailbreak?

I just want to unlock it, and it's running on firmware 3.0.1 . . well, it was jailbroken before, sooo, having it jailbreaked would be good too.

Redsn0w will work for you if you're on 3.0.1 or you can use pwnagetool.
is it a 2G 3G or 3GS?

a 2G but, i tried RedSn0w, everything seems to be going okay until the end. On youtube when i looked it up, it shows that another screen with a pineapple or w/e looking thing is supposed to pop up. But, For mine it stays on that downloading screen and then just restarts and the phone is still locked.
