iphone 3g stuck on connect to itunes screen

i have an iphone 3g running on 2.2 i was trying to jailbreak and unlock it thru redsn0w..everything was going well till it jus stuck on the hardrive screen now it shows the connect to itunes image.

when connected to itunes they say i must restore it to: iPhone OS 3.1.2 Software Update

is there a way to just install 3.0? with out having to go to 3.1.2

yes..theres a ton of help on here..go to guides, then choose if you have win or mac and choose 3g on firmware 3.0...restore with the 3.0.1 firmware and then use the 3.0 firmware to jailbreak it..you HAVE to use redsn0w .72 if you are using 3.0 firmware..just follow the instructions
