"unlocked" iphone not unlocked
Hey guys,
Just wondering here, I just unlocked my phone via ultrasn0w, I used to use Optus (as it was locked to it) I have changed to Vodafone Australia, All I keep getting is NO SERVICE, or SEARCHING.... as my carrier logo. As i go into the carrier section, it has a pop up saying, UNABLE TO LOAD NETWORK LIST.
I just want this phone to work on Vodafone Australia. Please help,
Thanks

Well first of all you can tell us:
Settings --> Genereal --> About ---> Modem Firmware "xx.xx.xx"
And I pray god it isn't 05.11.07

Well next thing you can do is check your bootloader. If you're lucky you have a bootloader 5.08. So go to Cydia and get Fuzzyband install it and run it, it will tell you which bootloader you got.
After that... well not much you can do. Here in Vietnam there is a hardmod by removing the baseband and reprogramming it. But it is only for 3G and I doubt you live here anyway.
Well after that one. All you can do is wait. Geohot started on the unlock yesterday and Devteam is also working on it so you're not in such a bad luck

Hey there - as you were the original Optus account holder for the iPhone, we can submit a request to have it unlocked.
If you purchased the iPhone as a Pre-Paid Optus customer, you are eligible to have the iPhone unlocked as long as you recharged to the value of $80 while you were with Optus, or completed a minimum of 6 months service with Optus (since purchase new service/performing handset upgrade).
If you'd like us to look into this for you, send your details via our online form here https://www.optus.com.au/portal/site...0002cd780aRCRD and we'll be in touch.
Cheers
