Ebay iPhone 3gs
I just got my 3gs that I bought off ebay, I thought that all Australian iPhones came unlocked and figured it would work straight away..
Not the case.. the seller said he used to be on "Three" but i'm with "Optus"
The 3gs is currently running 3.1.2 is there anything I can do to activate/unlock/hack this thing to work?

Yep, that's what happens.. wouldn't hold your breathe though. I was with Optus & thought there network with the iPhone was rubbish - although they have great plans. Are you post or pre-payed?

post. my only complaint is their infinitely confusing website(s).
Thankfully theres an app on the iphone which lets you pay your bills. without that i'd be lost. and this is from a savvy engineering student.. would hate to see how mom'n'pops put up with it..
