Default Battery problem after unlocking/jailbreaking to 3.0

    Hi,

I unlocked/jailbreaked my iPhone 2G from FW 2.1 to 3.0. After this I see that my battery drains like anything.I need to charge it every 10 hours to keep my iPhone alive.Using the phone for last 1 year. Is it because of firmware? What can I do to fix this?Is there a way to downgrade my firmware to older version. I am new to this jailbreaking stuff. Thanks to Dev Team. There tools let even a noob like me to unlock iPhone

    Regards,

Its probably push notifications working in the background and draining your battery. Same thing happened to me when I updated to 3.0, the phone lost battery fast and its back would sometimes heat up. Disable push from settings and let us know what happens

    Default Thanks Robin

    Hi Robin,

I disabled the push notificaitons. Infact I didnt configure any email client at all. Also reduced the brightness to very low.Still no difference at all.Is it that my battery is dead.I mean I have been using it for last 1 year but moderately. Not sure whats wrong . Will downgrading to fw 2.X help? Please advice!

    I hope this helps:
iPhone battery | iPhone News, Help and Guides
It has the almost every single reason for battery drainage out there. If it doesent help check for apps that use Push and disable it or if you use winterboard remove it from cydia cuz it drains your battery. If nothing works then definitely replace the battery. you can find cheap alternatives to apple replacement on the net
