About the dEv team not accepting donations
I believe the dev team at first wanted to get credit for being "cool" "nice" and "modest" devs so they could be trusted and be the "main dev". They insisted so much that Now they can't change their policy or they would look greedy. I mean come on donations are donations you don't have to donate but don't be fools the dev team wish they had donations. Who wouldn't. Donating is a choice anyway. If a dev team member would tell me in the face he wouldn't accept money for his hard work that would be total BS.
Geohot accepted donations and I bet he made at least a thousand dollars and he is still cool. He never asked for money he just accepeted People to give him money. The dev teams decision backfired. "working hours and hours for challenege" while people always ask for unlocks and jailbreaks. My *****. Like I said the only reason they can't let people donate now is because they would look bad after they insisted so much at the begining of the iPhone hacking.
Alot of people like me are stuck with an iPhone that can't make calls. I would gladly pay for an unlock. And btw I'm not one of those stupid people who "accidentally" clicked on "YES" and waited 10 minutes to download the update and 10 more mins to update they're phone before realizing that they updated. My phone crashed and couldn't use the old method to restore with the same firmware.Last edited by M4tt Dam0n; 10-24-2009 at 07:31 AM.

You are free to believe what you want.
The Dev Team are free to do what is in the best interests of the majority of users without being hounded by people who 'donate'.
They owe you nothing. If you can find someone to unlock it for you for money then you are free to do that. But it won't be the Dev Team.He who asks a question looks foolish for 5 minutes. He who doesn't ask a question remains foolish forever.

That's not what I said at all.
The Dev Team are not actively looking for an unlock for BB 05.11.07, other people are but it is unlikely that anyone will find one.
The Dev Team are looking for lower level unlocks but whether they can actually find one or not is anybodies guess.
They obviously think that it is worth them spending a lot of time looking for one though so who knows? He who asks a question looks foolish for 5 minutes. He who doesn't ask a question remains foolish forever.

Don't you think that if the Dev team made thousands in donation they would be a little more motivated to release unlocks?
The thing is that since they initially refused any donations it means that their only motivation is the "challenge" which unfortunately is not enough to make them work on a new unlock.

I believe he is mod over on their site. Thus he knows more than the average bear on here about what they are up to.
But nice way to get on his good side.

Personally Im getting tired of seeing thread after thread of whining about the dev team not doing something. They dont have to do anything at all - never have.

The ignorance of some people cracks me up
I always feel sorry for the guy in the iPhone commercials. He always gets a call right in the middle of trying to do something

I think there's something wrong with your "z" key there.
