    Default How to Unlock 2g running 3.1.2...

    I purchased a 2G which was upgraded to official 3.1.2.. I have now loaded the a custom firmware Activated jailbroken. I will receive my tmobile sim next week. Just wondering if the phone currently unlocked with the custom firmware or do i need to install additional software.?

    You might need to install other things from Cydia, but i hear that 3.1.2 is not UNLOCKABLE for use with other carriers.

    from reading about it a few places the 2G is capable of being unlock due to hardware (or lack of) differences, even on 3.1.2.
