iPhone 3Gs not findig network after Jailbreack 3.1 with PwnageTool 3.1.3

Hello guys,
Desperately need help, I have recently Upgraded my iPhone 3Gs with PwnageTool 3.1.3 from 3.0.1 to 3.1, i strictly followed the instruction on this link

After doing so my iPhone cannot detect the network signal it quickly search the network but says Network not available
Carrier Not Available.

the software version is 3.1 (7c144) is this correct?

Any help is highly appreciated!

what does the modem firmware read?

The Modem Firmware is 04.26.08

^then it should have worked. May be you did something wrong. Why not try the unlock process again?

If you are on ATT youneed to use a custom firmware that does nor have "activate" checked when it was compiled in Pwnage.

You also may have better luck if you run a custom firmware made in "simple mode".

I will certainly do that, but i just want your help on the restore. In case things don't work out even after trying the second time, do you think by any chance i have locked my iPhone for goo?. I also read some post in downgrading from 3.1 to 3.0 This process will only work for those who have saved their SHSH to Cydia Server, how do i save my SHSH to Cydia server? and after done the first upgrade do you think i still have the SHSH, by the way what is SHSH? sorry for to many questions, its my first experience with iPhone.

When you open cydia, click on "thanks make my life easy". It should save your SHSH on saurik's server.

Ok! i tried the unlock process again as suggested by ravelsnip, now i'm getting something strange, when i get to the step of holding down the Power and home button together for about 25 seconds, instead of getting the connect to iTunes screen and iTunes should pop up a window saying that it found an iPhone in Recovery mode a window pops up trying to connect to iTunes to update my phone. I letter get a carton picture on my iPhone with a blue pant and a black shirt and some words in Russian.

Well can someone tell me what is happening, and how i can go about in solving this issue?

I just found out that if you upgrade to 3.1 it changes the broadband in your phone. Even if you downgrade back to 3.0 it cannot be reversed. Apple does this on purpose in order to deter anyone from jailbreaking. The only way to get around this is to flash your phone and upgrade to 3.0 only.

I heard that there's a new solution for 3.1.2 so there might not be any need for you to go through all that mess.

Thanks for your post, so what do you advice me to do, should i flash my iPhone and upgrade to 3.0 and if so how do i go about in doing so is there any step by step fro doing this?

As for the 3.2.1 can you post the link so i can read and get more info on it.

Since i'm using a different carrier from AT&T.
