My friend has a 3g 8gb with version 3.0 and firmware baseband 5.11.07
Can we unlock the phone with UltrasnOw?
This is weird. I never heard of 3.0 with bb 5.11.07
At first I thought he has 3.1 and bb 4.26.08 then it still can be unlock.
It appears your friend may have upgraded to 3.1 which upgrades the baseband to 5.11.07 but then downgraded the FW back to 3.0....however...the baseband will still remain at 5.11.07 even if the FW is downgraded.
You cannot unlock baseband 05.11.07, irregardless of what firmware the phone is running.
Try installing "Fuzzyband" to see if his phone is ancient enough that the baseband can be downgraded (must have bootloader ver. 5.08 - good luck!). More likely than not there's nothing you can do at this time.
i have the same problem, customer brought me his phone and now he is stuck with it, no unlocking for him at least till we bilt something new.
what he did is upgrade it to 3.1 and also he got his baseband upgrated and now i got it back to 3.0 but can't be unlocked because of baseband.
i can jailbrake it with quickpown but like i sead no unlock...
ANYWAYS ANY BODY KNOW IF ANYTHING NEW COMING OUT FOR IPHONES TO BE ULNOCKED AND JAILBROKEN, FOR THE NEW IPHONES
