    Default Unlocking baseband 5.11.07?

    first could someone reinerate on what exactly the baseband is. Is it hardware or software? I know it works with the modem and the phone but if its Software that is put on the phone by updating couldnt it be corrupted so there is no traces so there is no baseband on the phone? I know how to corrupt my Iphone but Im not going to do it again just to fail with this.

    So could u guys just explain a lil more about the hardware or software the baseband contains, in other words what info does the baseband processor permanantly keep?
