Default iPhone 3g Cannot connect to wifi

    Hello,

I have an iPhone 3g that I just received today. I got through ebay and it is an authentic device and connects to iTunes fine. When I got it, the device had a bunch of jailbroken apps on it, I wanted to start with a fresh device so I can unlock it and put my own apps on it. When I restored it, it unlocked itself after being connected to iTunes for a second. I then proceeded to jailbreak it with Cydia with redsn0w .8. Now I cannot connect to the Wifi networks at all. After the device reboots, it connects for a second and then the 3g service takes over and I cannot connect to the wifi at all. It comes up with a message "Cannot scan for Wireless networks."

Any help, I have no idea what to do after googling the issue for about a half hour.

    Have it working now.

My iPhone 3g is an unlocked device naturally, so I can get T-Mobile is I wanted to. So I upgraded to 3.1 after doing a Erase Media and Settings. It works perfect now.

Thank god for Comp Sci Lectures to make this process seem really fast.
