I'm a month away from a upgrade from AT&T. I just want to make sure that who ever buys it can unlock it for another carrier. It's a 3G with firmware 3.0.

Ok going to be selling it this weekend. Quick question. What do I do to get it back to default? Just click restore and then do not sync it on itunes, and keep the sim card? Is that it or something else to it?

I'm on 3.0.1 so I'm good to go for any one that buys it if they want to unlock it right? I think 3.1 actually is unlockable now right? Not that it matters, I won't be updating it.

edit: one last thing..do I need to unlock this phone for the person that buys it or can they do it? Never did a unlock just a j/b since I am with AT&T

Plug into iTunes and hit restore. Every iphone in existence right now is unlockable so you can sell it as such.

but would you suggest still maintaining bb 04.26.08 while unlocking by using custom .ipsw? or bb 05.11 unlocking is also as reliable?

Doesn't matter. Keep it or up it it all does the same. I upped it even though I didn't have to.
