    Question iPhone 3G Activation?

    My dad gave me his old iPhone 3G on 3.1 because he got the 3GS. He took the sim card out. I am looking to activate it but I cant find a working tutorial for 3.1 and I know this may be a noob question but I am new to this . Im on windows vista 32-bit.

    just ask him for his sim for a minute..

    It'll be WAY easier then downgrading to 3.0
