Jailbroken 2G 3.1, but not unlocked? Help!

Hi, I recently finally managed to jailbreak my phone after following the instructions, using HJ split to get iPhone1,1_3.1_7C144_Custom_Restore. I restored using the custom firmware and now have Cydia.

However, my phone is not unlocked and it just says under Network: "Sim not provisioned" and No Service on it.

When it was doing the restore, I noticed it went to an "unlocking" phase using BootNeuter(?).

I connected it to the wireless network I'm currently using to go to this forum as we speak and I can use Cydia.

I don't know if this affects it but I did not put the simcard in while doing the custom restore.

My 2G info:
Modem firmware: 04.05.04_G
Model: MA712LL
Version: 3.1 (7c144)

Does anyone know what I did wrong? My carrier is AT&T, but I'm not subscribed to the data plan.

try adding the blackra1n repo or the yellowsn0w or the ultrasn0w repo. they are unlocks for the iphone
