    i did all that and it goes back to the itunes and plug logo on the screen

    ok it still has that on the screen but i can recieve phone calls on it

    No choice, You'll have to restore again in iTunes, (you are setting it up as a new phone right? Not restoring from a back-up right?) then run red again.

    yes but now i cant cause itunes is saying cant activate cause sim card is not inserted

    You can put the sim card in, and also if the phone is in DFU mode iTunes will restore it.

    i just did all that and i still cant get it going redswow says waiting to reboot

    Are you 100% certain you are in DFU mode when you restore? It should be a blank black screen.

    You will never believe it after hours of messing with it i looked on you tube for help and all i had to do was take the plug out and put it back in when it was trying to reboot and it worked...i thank you for all your help!!!
