    can i just restore to 3.0 and unlock? i do not have a backup of my ecid on cydia

    nope, if you restore, it will only allow 3.1.
    Try to run redsn0w again.

    i'm worried that if i do that it will make the phone unusable and needed to be restored... right now the phone works but stays in safety mode
