Unlocking IPhone 3g problem
hello everyone,
I have a 3g 3.0 IPhone. I restored it to 3.0 in itunes and then jailbroke it and now im trying to unlock it.
I connected with my wireless no problem, turned 3g off in settings and added a new source in cydia "repo666.ultrasn0w.com" downloaded and installed it. Then i rebooted the device.
It searches for signal for about 3 minutes and then says no service. I have T Mobile.
I tried jailbreaking it again and doing the same thing twice and no results.
Does anyone know what might be wrong?
Thank You.

What APN settings are you using? They may need to be reset. The is a link above in the header bar above under "Guides", "Carrier APN settings"

I went into "cellular data network" and APN space is empty and so are all the spaces in there.

As that page states there are several that can be used depending on your plan.
epc.tmobile.com
wap.voicestream.com
internet2.voicestream.com
etc,
try changing it and see or search our forum/Google for more info.

I tried every single one of them and didn't work.
I read that maybe settings>>reset>>reset all settings might work.
Do you think it'd work?
Thank you for your time and help so far
I just read that if i downgraded from 3.1 to 3.0 and boothloader is not 05.08 then the iphone cannot be unlocked.
I did downgrade from 3.1 because i upgraded by accident and my boothloader says 05.09Last edited by michal2648; 09-26-2009 at 03:41 PM. Reason: Automerged Doublepost

Yup, that's your problem. In the future try to give us all the info you can, makes it easier to give advise.
Big Boss has released FuzzyBand Downgrader in Cydia, if you have wifi you could try this.

So what does it say for Modem Firmware in Settings > General > About ?
If it's anything other than 04.26.08, you can't unlock.
