Unlocking Iphone 3gs 3.1

How can you folks say there will never be a unlock for this baseband ????
They have cracked every one so far,why would this version be bullet proof ?

And yes I also have a 3gs with the 05.11.07 / 3.1 ...

It's not about whether they can or cannot do it it's about whether they want to or not. They might just wait for a new fw release before releasing a new unlock. It isn't never but it probably won't be soon.

And no thy haven't cracked every one. They cracked 2.28.00 and the one for 3.0 (forgot what it is). That's yellowsn0w and ultrasn0w. They usually crack BB for major updates.

Apple reduced the new baseband by 180 commands. That's a lot.
Apple is seriously cracking down on unlocking now.
They have not cracked every one so far. It took them half a year to unlock the 3G the first time (yellowsn0w) and they almost didn't find that one.
It was nother half a year before a second one came out. 2.30.03 was the baseband that came with 2.2.1...many, many people were locked out of their phones for half a year and they were lucky they were even able to unlock in the first place.

I'm not saying that it isn't possible.. it is possible. Just not likely.

I was on 2.28.xx with 5.8 forever!. I just gave that phone to my brother. I was a day away from putting it on ebay recently until he told me he wanted it. I have the 3GS now and hate how it is going to be a pain in the butt to jailbreak. Luckily I got my jailbreak in on my 3GS before Apple started signing firmwares.

Apple started signing restores the day the 3GS came out.
Don't see how you could have gotten your JB before that
