Iphone 2g 1.x upgrade

I have a 2g 16 gb Iphone jailbroken and unlocked with Zyphone, how do I upgrade the iphone software to 2.0 or 3.0?

- Also READ and READ the turorials on the redsn0w page
- You are good to go

- stay clear of Ziphone
- To be safe: stay on iTunes 8.2.1

I have a 2G iPhone that has 3.0.1 installed on it and is jailbroken and unlocked. I tried to reset the phone though general->reset and it wont complete its boot anymore. What options do I have now?

1 - NEVER ever do a RESET on a JB/Unlocked phone....
2 - U need to restore reJB and unlock

Thanks for the info. I never knew that about Resetting...

I went ahead and tried to restore and some how was able to with 3.0 and then rejailbroke the phone.

Im not sure if it helps but I modd'd my host file through Sauriks instructions. Thanks!

After doing everything according to instructions with redsn0w, the Iphone is stuck on a screen with an old harddisk and the legend "Downloading Jailbreak data..." and nothing happens.

Please help...

Now it is at the screen with the itunes logo and the plug...dead

When i run Itunes it tells me that there is a iphone in recovery mode and that if I have troubles with it I should restore it, but it was unlocked and jailbreaked with zyphone before...??
