3G running what FW?
In 3.1 all carrier settings need to be signed - what network are you on?

3G=3.0.1 Unlocked/JB
3GS=3.0 Virgin

I guess I will need the T-mobile app from Cydia once I get my 3.1 Unlocked/Jailbroken.

Then tethering isn't a problem. It is for FW3.1 though because of the signing necessary to install the files.
