Any service issues with FW 3.x using "Pay As You Go"?

Hi ALL,

I have a first generation iPhone that is currently at 2.2.1 and I wish to upgrade to 3.x. This is a jailbroken, unlocked phone and I've never had any trouble with it. I use a Cingular Pay As You Go plan.

I've heard rumors that going to 3.x will somehow affect your PAYGO plan. I don't use the plan for data, since I always have a WiFi hotspot available.

Has anyone using a PayGo SIM been affected by upgrading to version 3?

No issues - just a few hints.

Use FW 3.0
Stay clear of 3.0.1 (all kinds of issues)
FW 3.1 has no JB/Unlock yet - Do NOT use.

Make sure to block DATA. Best done by CALLING AT&T - can also be done via APN settings, however make sure to check! that internet does NOT work...
