Default 2G reboot problems after upgrade to 3.0.1

I recently upgraded my 2G (8G) that I had previously unlocked/jailbroken to 1.1.1 to the current version 3.0.1. Everything went clean and 2G is now running at most current version.

However, I noticed that now the phone tends to reboot on its own and not sure what should I do to resolve this matter.

I would greatly appreciate it if anyone can provide guidance how to go about fixing this problem...

    This is what I did...

I upgraded iTune to most current level 8.2.1.6

Upgraded the 2G to the most current version from iTune 3.0.1

Downloaded redsn0w 0.8, FW 3.0 and bootloaders 3.9 and 4.6 and followed the process to unlock & jailbroke. Everything came up clean after the upgrade process completed

    Information after the upgrade....

    Version: 3.0.1 (7A400)
    Model: MA712LL
    Modem Firmware: 04.05.04_G

Any suggestion / input would be greatly appreciated

Did you set it up as a New Phone or from a back-up?

I think that I set it up as new. I also used backup to restore my contacts etc after the upgrade was completed.

please let me know if you need any other information..

Pretty sure ur "backup to restore contacts" is the prob.

It is as BLKCADI says - do not use the backup. Set-up as a clean new phone. Do NOT use ANY backup.
To save yr contacts export those n import later...separately

Apple... OMG such a source 4 hassle..
    Do hope that helps

you can just sync to get your contact and music back. When updating to a new OS it is always important to set up as a new phone, otherwise as you are experiencing, it causes so many problems.

Thank you. I'll go ahead and start from scratch again and will ensure to set it up as new this time and hope that will take care of this problem..

    Thaks again for your help.
