Hello, I have an unlocked iPhone 2G with the 3.0 firmware. It was okay till last night and all of a sudden the screen went blank. Nothing appears on the screen even after connecting it to iTunes through the USB cable. iTunes wont even recognize my iPhone and so I cannot even restore it back and use redsnow.
Does this have a solution? Please help me here. This is urgent.

Try plugging your phone into your computer. Shut down your computer and turn it back on (phone still plugged in, don't touch it) and see if your phone reacts to is (a sound from your phone or a vibrate). If not it's okay, let it sit for a while. The reboot from the computer somehow I guess "jumps" the phone up in some cases (fixed my friend's phone) so give it 10-20 minutes. If it still doesn't react, tell me what you were doing before the screen went out.
