Jailbroke 3GS w redsn0w now no service

Ok, forgive me if this has been covered elsewhere, but I searched high and low for a solution before posting.

I got a brand new 3GS. Have my T-mobile sim card in it. Jailbroke w redsn0w. Followed all directions accurately. Jailbreak went fine. Rebooted and Cydia icon was there.

Problem is I have no carrier logo/bars/internet connection. I wanted to proceed to download ultrasn0w through Cydia to unlock, but Cydia says "Unable to Load - No Internet Connection".

So, I figure I need to set my T-Mobile APN settings, right? So I go to Settings/General/Network but APN settings is not there.

Am I missing something?

load cydia with wifi, then download ultrasn0w.

Thanks! That did it. I had no wifi at home so I drove around the block until I got a signal then unlocked with ultra. perfect. Surprised no one ever addressed this issue in the tutorials. Maybe it's just understood that you need to connect thru wifi to access Cydia. Most people prob have more common sense than I do.
