Unlocking brand new unactivated AT&T iPhone 3GS?

Hey guys,

I have a brand new unactivated AT&T iPhone 3GS I brought back home to Europe and I was wondering how I need to go about unlocking it?

I've spent quite a long time googling and looking around but all the unlock methods (Purplerain and ultrasnow) state that you require a legally activated iPhone 3GS.

Could someone point me in the right direction for hacktivating and unlocking this iPhone 3GS?
