3.0 Upgrade Questions

hey guys, i just had a quick question... ok so basically upgraded my unlocked and jailbroken 2g iphone that was on 2.2.1 firmware, but i upgraded to 3.0 using itunes since i heard that you can use redsnow to unlock. however, everytime i try and run redsn0w it goes past the dfu mode, and then stops working. i was wondering if there are anyother alternatives to unlocking the phone, seeing as i am on tmobile and have no other phone. Any help would be great. Thanks in advance.

when it gets stuck, unplug the USB and plug it right back in.

its not stuck, its just not unlocked and i dont know what to do from here

You need to check the unlock option on the redsn0w and then locate the BL 3.9 and BL 4.6 when redsn0w ask for.

yeah i was using redsn0w, but it keeps freezing. could anyone give me a direct link to all the files required for this, and instructions, that are known to work. keep in mind that my phone is locked, with a fresh copy of 3.0
